In 2018, Flora Savings Bank merged with Community Partners Savings Bank of Salem, and Marvin remained on the Board of Directors until retiring from that position in 2022.
Marvin was known for his great sense of humor and was often the life of the party, bringing laughter and energy wherever he went. He loved golfing, dancing, and cheering on his Illini basketball team. Marvin was also a dedicated member of the Flora Elks Lodge, where he proudly served as Exalted Ruler in 1991, leading the Flora Lodge to the National Elks Ritualistic Competition.
