John is survived by his wife, Lena Jackson of Flora; a daughter, Sandra Jackson of Cincinnati, Ohio; a son, Dale Jackson and wife Rebecca of Dalton City; and four grandchildren: Emma, Ellen, Audrey, and Ben Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Sally Lee; and a sister-in-law, Marjorie Powless.

Sorry for the families loss
Another neighbor from my growing up years, now gone. He was a good man, husband, dad, and so good to his mom, who was also a neighbor. Lena, Sandy, and Dale; your loss is great and you are in my thoughts and prayers.
I’m so Sorry to hear of John’s passing. He was a Good Man that would do anything for anyone! I would see him and Lena at the Doctors office waiting to see Dr. Kumar. He would always ask me if I was still doing trees and I would tell him yes and he would give me that smile. I did trees for John and Lena and they would always ask if I needed something to drink or eat. John would always sit outside in the swing or chair and watch me do his trees. I lived by him on Austin Street for many years when I was a kid. He will be missed by Many!!!
My thoughts and prayers are with you, Lena, Sandra, Dale and Family. I have fond memories of your family while growing up down the street from y’all. John was a good man and he and Lena were so kind and friendly to all of the neighborhood kids. I’m so sorry for your loss. RIP John❣️
To Sandy & family please know you will be in my thoughts & prayers. I am so very sorry for the loss of this wonderful man. Heaven has gained another angel. May God bless & comfort during your time of sorrow.
My thoughts and prayers are with Lena, Sandra, Dale and Family. I've known Aliene, John and Lena for many years. Aliene was my school teacher and I've been a neighbor of John and Lena for years. So sorry for your loss, Angel and I will miss visiting with him this summer during our walks. May God Bless.
Dear Sandy, Your dad was an amazing man. My heart goes out to you and your family as you adjust to this tremendous loss. So happy that we have a grand reunion to look forward to. Praying for peace and comfort going forward, especially in the days ahead. Love you dearly friend.
Prayers for Lena and family. We were neighbors for fifty years. John was always a cordial neighbor ready to give advice if asked. He was a good man and will be missed deeply. RIP John
John Jackson, not just a man, but a good man, a christian man, now resting in his eternal home with his saviour Jesus, and his mother, Aliene who preceeded him. I worked with John at World color Press at the Salem plant. John was a good and reliable employee and was well thought of by his department manager. My heart and prayer goes out toLena, Sandra, and Dale. Death of a loved one is not an easy path to walk, Gods help will be needed and God will freely give his love and comfort. John and I spoke almost monthly over the phone, catching up on everything going on in Flora and surrounding area. I will miss these hour long calls going forward. Although we will miss John, I would never call him back. He is enjoying all that Heaven offers, family, friends, all without tears and is waiting for other family members to join him forever. Rest easy my friend. I thank God for knowing you and the time we shared working together building the church on Emory street. Not by phone but we shall talk again one blissful day my friend. Much love & prayers to the family.
