Larry R. Forth, age 83, of Flora, Illinois, and formerly of Xenia, passed away Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Axiom Healthcare of Flora.

He was born October 22, 1942, in Flora, the son of Roy M. “Todd” Forth and Minnie Irene (Corry) Forth.

Larry was a graduate of Flora Township High School.  Born and raised in Clay County, he moved to Indiana in 1964 and later returned home to Xenia in 1983.  In 2016, he became a resident of Heritage Woods of Flora.  Larry truly enjoyed his time at Heritage Woods, calling bingo, facilitating exercise classes, and gathering weekly with fellow residents to play pool.

From 1964–1983, he was employed with International Harvester and was a member of the UAW.  A true outdoorsman, Larry spent his spiritual time in the great cathedral of God’s creation, especially enjoying fishing and hunting small game such as quail, rabbit, and squirrels.  He loved first-generation blues music, especially the old songs with slide guitar.  Larry had been affiliated with Xenia Christian Church and had been a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3164 in New Haven, Indiana.

He is survived by his children: Kelly Ray (Kelly Maureen) Forth of Mount Juliet, Tennessee and Steven Todd (Ann) Forth of Huntington, Indiana; 6 grandchildren: Amy (Mark) DelGatto, Jacob Forth, John Forth, Alexandra (Jeremy) Bradley, Nicholas (Heather) Forth, and Elliot (Holly) Forth; 7 great-grandchildren: Diana Kelly DelGatto, Anna Katherine Bradley, Nora Jean Bradley, Luke Michael Bradley, Owen Richard Forth, Ruby Isobel Forth, and Jack Thomas Forth; a brother: Roy Lee Forth of Xenia; and a cousin: John Forth Jr. of Flora.

He was preceded in passing by his parents and a brother: George Rolla Forth.

A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  A funeral ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. with Chuck Knapp officiating.  Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Xenia.  Memorial donations are suggested to Xenia Christian Church, and these will be accepted at the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
