Michael Eugene Hediger, age 61, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Axiom Healthcare of Flora.

      He was born August 10, 1964, in Breese, the son of Eugene Robert and Jo Ann (Heinrich) Hediger.  He was united in marriage to Melissa Kieffer on September 11, 2015.

      Mike worked at the Centralia Sentinel for several years.  He enjoyed attending concerts, especially his favorite band, KISS, never missing a local show.

      He is survived by his mother: Jo Ann Hediger of Salem; 2 brothers: Rickey Hediger of Carlyle and Douglas Hediger of Shattuc; his wife: Melissa Hediger; 3 stepchildren: Draven, Riah, and Jace Davis; a niece: Racheal Hediger; and 2 nephews: Justen Hediger and Gavin Hediger.

      He was preceded in passing by his father and an uncle: Jim Hediger.

      A graveside ceremony with interment will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery in Flora.  Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Memorial donations are suggested to Residential Hospice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
