Edith “Eddi” Jane Fatheree, age 75, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Monday night, July 14, 2025, at Axiom Healthcare in Flora.

      Eddi was born May 8, 1950, in Olney, the daughter of the late Elmer E. and Florence Rae (Garrett) Greene.  She married Wayne Fatheree in 1991 in Olney and they shared 34 years of marriage.  Wayne passed away only days following Eddi, in the early morning hours of Friday, July 18, 2025.

      Eddi had been employed at the Sears Hometown Store in Flora, where she will be remembered by many as a friendly face and a kind presence.  She loved to crochet, work on word puzzles, and relax with her favorite TV shows.  Her home was always kept in perfect order, and her favorite part of the day was taking walks with her loyal dog companion, Toby.

      Eddi is survived by 2 stepsons: Dusty Fatheree (Donnita Lewis) of Flora, and Jody Fatheree of Amarillo, Texas; a step-grandson: Race Fatheree of Amarillo, Texas; and special friend: Brad (Chelsea) Marlow of Flora.

      Along with her parents, she was preceded in passing by a son: Jeffrey Allen Totten; a daughter: Melissa Jo Totten; 2 brothers; and her dog: Toby.

      A funeral ceremony for Eddi and Wayne Fatheree will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Cliff Chaffee officiating.  Interment will follow in Powers Cemetery, Xenia.  A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Clay County Cancer Crusaders, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
