Linda attended North Clay Grade School and High School. Over the years, she had worked at the International Shoe Factory and the Flora Pavilion, and later devoted herself to caring for others as a home health provider. Oh my, where do I start...sweet, sweet Linda,..Lori, this wasn't suppose to happen this way, I had five years to prepare myself and I still needed more time. I can't even begin to tell you how deeply sorry I am. We've been friends since kindergarten, so 55 years in each others lives. You have always been there for me, through pretty much everything. I just wish I could have been there for you . Losing our momma's, along with Cecelia's this past week and Alesia's sweet mom last year, is all so surreal. It is so sad, but it makes me smile knowing my best friends moms and mine are all healthy and happy, I'm sure they're all dancing and having a big ole time..and are watching over all of us...love you my friend๐๐๐๐
So sorry for your loss, wish I could be there to celebrate her life but will have to wait and do that when we fly home. Out of all my aunts on the Welty side, she was my favorite. As a kid, I think I had a sleep over at her house almost every weekend. It was always a great time from swimming in the pond, fishing, adventuring in the woods, making sassafras tea, blowing bubbles from the flowers across the road, getting a sugary snack that I wasn't supposed to have, and watching Tody eat a huge bowl of cereal in the morning but not sure how he did it. Aunt Linda always took time to talk and play with me growing up. Just like my dad, she had her sayings that everyone repeats to this day. My favorite after a meal, she would say, "I feel like a stuffed tick"๐. That one is used around our house all the time. She always had big family get togethers especially for the holidays and made all kinds of tasty meals. A life well lived is one that will be greatly missed, and she will definitely be that.
Iโm so sorry for your loss. Linda was a wonderful volunteer for years at Clay City Schools. She always had her friendly smile and willingness to help! Prayers for the family as you move forward remembering the special times youโve shared.
