So sorry for your loss! Alan had my son in school, and I worked with him as a school cook for many years. I’ll never forget when he brought Christy home, he was so happy, equally so with all of you. Continue remembering all you your wonderful memories about him!
What a privilege it was to have Alan as a Beta Sponsor growing up and work alongside him at Iuka. He passed the same day as my dad which I find comforting. When I started teaching at Iuka, he always looked out of me. He was a kind soul and will be missed.
Prayers for the family. I got to know Alan through weekly Sunday Bible Study at Axiom. I so appreciated his input during the lessons. I knew right away he had a wonderful relationship with Jesus.
I worked with Mr. Meers for several years at Iuka Grade school and later got to know him more in our oil painting classes. It was always so good to see him and catch up on our friends and his sweet children I had as students at Iuka. I am sad he will no longer be painting here on earth, but I know he definitely will be in heaven❣️🎨👨🏻🎨
Alan was a teacher who truly cared for his students. As a school psychologist for KSED I had the privilege of working with him developing and reviewing IEPs. I always enjoyed traveling to Iuka to work with him. He was so proud of his own children; I remember him talking about traveling to meet them. My condolences to his family and friends.
Wayne and I had the privilege of being co-workers with Alan as well as his friend. His positive and concerned attitude influenced many students’ lives. Christy, Tian, and Gavin were the center of his life.
I met Alan when Larry and I started learning to play the Dulcimer. He was a good influence with his talent and enjoyment he had for music.
I 1st met Allen when he worked with my Sister at Hucks. He was a very professional and kind clerk. I later took care of him in LTC facility.
