Funeral: 2 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home
Visitation: 12 noon until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home
Interment: Orchard Hill Cemetery
Sarah Jean Lampley, age 56, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 30, 2019.
She was born June 5, 1963, in Olney, the daughter of Jerry R. and Linda S. (Snell) Harrington. She was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Lampley on November 26, 1988, at the Louisville Methodist Church and they have shared 30 wedding anniversaries together.
Sarah was a 1981 graduate of North Clay High School. She earned her associate degree from Olney Central College. She worked as the office manager at Heritage Woods in Flora where she was always a friendly face at the front desk and willing to share her time to help find an answer to a question. She was greatly loved by the residents and staff. Sarah’s greatest joys in life were collecting dolphins, camping with Jerry at Kuhl’s Kampground in Ingraham, and especially spoiling her children and grandbabies.
She is survived by her husband: Jerry Lampley of Louisville; 2 sons: David Simmons (Stephanie) of Flora and Nick Lampley (Kendall) of Flora; mother: Linda Harrington of Louisville; 2 grandsons: Johnathan and Lucas Simmons of Flora; and siblings: David Harrington (Sherry) of Louisville, Donna Britton (Troy) of Louisville, and Sue Smith of Murphysboro.
She was preceded in death by her father: Jerry Harrington; father-in-law: Lawrence Lampley; mother-in-law: Anna Marie Lampley; brother: Carl Ray Harrington; paternal grandparents: Floyd and Lora Harrington; maternal grandparents: Robert and Wilma Snell; and special puppy: Misty.
A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, November 3, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Interment will follow in Orchard Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon until time of service on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial donations in Sarah’s memory may be made to Heritage Woods Activity Fund or any charity of the donor’s choice and will be accepted through the funeral home.

Sarah - Mama Sarah - as we knew her at Heritage Woods - was loved by everyone who knew her. In her role as Business Office Manager, Sarah was selfless in her service to residents and staff, helping sometimes without our even knowing. She was meticulous, dependable, loyal, and funny. Her work was always done on time and done to standard and above. She had an incredible sense of humor and loved playing a friendly prank on her co-workers. She was invested in her job, but especially in her family. Her sons and grandsons were her reason for living - that and camping. And her dream to one-day swim with dolphins. To know Sarah, was to treasure her. Yes, you knew you had to “toe the line,” but you also knew she had your back. We love you Sarah. We will miss you forever. Heritage Woods Residents & Staff

My wife and I knew Sarah from Heritage Woods where my mother lives. Sarah was a lady who was not only loving and caring but very much aware of the needs of all that reside at Heritage Woods. She will be greatly missed! Our prayers are with the family and loved ones. God bless!

Sarah was a classmate, although we had not stayed in touch since school I am not surprised to read that she was a kind and caring person. That was Sarah as a classmate as well. She had a part in sharing life with some of my friends and family at Heritage Woods and I know she will be missed. So sorry to hear of the loss and prayers for family and friends.
