A private family gathering and ceremony will take place.
Ginger Duff, age 88, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky.
She was born June 10, 1937, in Lyons, Kansas, the daughter of John Wesley and Ruth Rellia (Rickner) Osborn. She was united in marriage to Charles D. Duff on October 14, 1955, in Ingraham. Charlie passed away April 24, 2002, after sharing 46 years of marriage with Ginger.
Ginger treasured the beauty of the world around her. She loved the splendor of the outdoors, especially flowers and trees, and the charm of birds and their songs. Spending time working on her landscaping made her happy because she was surrounded by the things she found peaceful. She enjoyed riding along on drives through town and the countryside, taking in the seasonal changes in wildflowers and foliage along the way. Sometimes she even ventured out on a mushroom hunt. Cards and dominoes were among her favorite pastimes, and she was always ready for a game. She also had a bit of artistic flair and enjoyed dabbling in painting and sketching. Ginger’s faith was a steady presence in her life, and she had been a member of Flora Assembly of God Church. Above all, she counted her family—especially her grandsons and great-grandchildren—among life’s sweetest blessings.
Ginger is survived by her daughter: Kim (Phil) French of Clay City; 2 grandsons: Braxton (Whitney) French of Clay City and Preston (Caitlin) French of Woodlawn; 3 great-grandchildren: Briar, Tanner, and McKenna; siblings: Barbara (Bob) Edwards, Johnny Osborn, Donna (Curt) Hosselton, Jack (Jenny) Osborn, Susie (Larry) Poehler, and Becky (Butch) Franklin; a half-brother: Glenn Baughman; a half-sister: Mary Wilson Tucker; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ginger is also survived by her special friend of 21 years, Jim Tolliver of Clay City.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her husband; a son: Carroll Dean Duff; and a brother: Ritchie Osborn.
A private family gathering and ceremony will take place, followed by burial in Clay City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to your choice of the Activity Fund at Axiom Health Care of Flora, or to Clay City Cemetery, and these may be sent to the funeral home.

So sorry to hear of Gingers passing. Prayers for comfort sent to you and the family.
Kim and family, I've known your mom for as long as I can remember. I spent a lot of time at your house when we were little, it was nice that grandmas back yard joined your back yard. I knew when I was there, I always had a friend to play with . As we grew up and went our own ways, the trees grew and the flowers kept blooming bigger and brighter.. I would sit on mom's back deck and look at those giant pine trees, and remember us jumping over them,, seems like a lifetime ago.. I enjoyed her yard, when I would be working in mom's yard, I would pop over and look at her beautiful flowers, I know Jim took pride in her yard too and did such a good job tending to it when she couldn't do it anymore. Mom passed the same day last year..looks like they will be heavenly neighbors from here on out. Love you my friend..RIP Ginger, you earned those wings .tell mom hello😇
Kim, I’m so sorry for your loss, I know it is not easy. I wish your family peace that passes all understanding. Love you
