Mary V. Morris, of Fishers, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon, October 12, 2025, less than two weeks after her 99th birthday, and a wonderful lifetime of memories.  Mary was born September 30, 1926, in Flora, Illinois, to the late Opal Henderson and Helen (Perrine) Henderson Mitchell.

      In 1945, Mary was united in marriage to the late Chesley Morris, and two daughters, Angela and Helen, were born to this union.  She later married the late John Heil.

      She is survived by her daughter, Helen Russell and husband Gerald, of Greenwood, Indiana; a grandson, James Brian Kellermeyer; three great-granddaughters; one great-great-grandson; and a brother, Jack Henderson and wife Betty.

      Mary was preceded in passing by her daughter, Angela Kay Morris, in 2019; and three brothers, Walter, Tom, and James Henderson.

      Mary had worked for the State of Indiana Emergency Medical Services organization.  She was a longtime Christian Church member and had been a member of Eastern Star and American Legion Auxiliary.   Above all, she will be remembered as a most loving mother and grandmother. 

      A graveside ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Elmwood Cemetery, Flora, Illinois, where interment will follow.  Memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  To share a condolence, visit: www.frankandbright.com
