Judy Kay Ellis, age 71, of Spring, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2025, at her home.

      She was born November 24, 1953, in Flora, Illinois, the daughter of Raymond and Pearl (Turner) Ellis.

      Judy was a 1971 graduate of Flora High School.  Following graduation, she began creating and selling crafts and developed a lifelong passion for collecting dolls.  She loved finding new dolls to add to her collection and enjoyed repairing and sewing clothing for them.  Over the years, she held secretarial positions with several construction companies as well as the Farm Bureau in Louisville.  In 2002, Judy moved to Texas, where she most recently worked as an independent associate for a legal company in Spring. She loved listening to country music and often sang along, and she also found joy in church music as a member of the Methodist Church in Spring.

      She is survived by her 3 brothers: Jerry (Mary) Ellis of Flora, Don Ellis of Flora, and Jim Ellis of Spring, Texas.

      She was preceded in passing by her parents and a brother, Robert Ellis.

      A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to any charity of the donor’s choice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
