Sharon Rose Becker, age 86, passed away Friday, August 15, 2025, at Axiom Healthcare of Flora.
She was born February 12, 1939, in Chilton, Wisconsin, the daughter of Carlton and Rose (Robinson) Mortimer. She was united in marriage to David Francis Becker in 1957.
Sharon graduated from Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids in 1957, where she was crowned Prom Queen her Senior year.
She worked at Riverview Hospital as the admitting clerk. She then went on to work for the JBM Department at Consolidated Papers. After moving to Wausau, Wisconsin, she had 21 great years working for E.O. Johnson Company as a service dispatcher and in billing.
Sharon loved crafts—from homemade quilts to her beautiful watercolor paintings. She had a deep love for all animals, especially cats, and had helped a lot of our wildlife friends. She was affectionately called “the mother of Nature!”
Being a snowbird, she spent her time between the cottage in Harshaw, Wisconsin, on Oneida Lake and her home in Hernando, Florida. She was very involved in her community and was a member of the Elks Club.
Sharon had a great love for life, and she will be deeply missed by all her family and friends that loved her so very much.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Wendy and Brian Hamende. She was preceded in passing by her husband, David Francis in 2014, and her son, Gregory David in 1980.

Rest in peace my sweet friend. Sure gonna miss you.
“Sharon was such a sweet and special lady whom I will always remember. She was so kind and thoughtful, and her beautiful smile could truly light up a room. I pray that you find comfort in cherishing the wonderful memories of your dear Mom, and please know that you are in my prayers.”
This is for my dear sister Sharon, I will always remeber the so many fun times we had when we were together, like shopping, and paddle boating, at the cottage. All the good meals she fixed, and she was the best aunt in the world to our children, Mindy and Chad. I was glad to be able to tell her before she passed away, how much we appreciated, what she did for us. Now, she can be with Greg, and Dave, and our mother Rose, and our father, Mort. and my brother Carl We are grateful to Wendy, and Brian, for all their loving care. We would always say to each other "LOVE YOU MORE!" This is from her sister Susie Brown, and Mike, Chad, and Mindy. XXOO
