Lois Neoga Wille, age 94, of Clay City, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 9, 2025, at Axiom Healthcare of Flora.

      She was born September 10, 1931, in Olney, the daughter of Edbert G. and Martha Ellen (Sheets) McDowell.  She was united in marriage to Charles “Alvin” Wille in Missouri, Illinois, and together they shared 58 wedding anniversaries until his passing on November 16, 2009.

      Lois attended school in Noble, Illinois.  She dedicated her time to caring for others with her work through Addus Homecare.  She enjoyed putting puzzles together, coloring, crocheting, and collecting dolls.  Lois had a wonderful sense of humor—she could tell it like it was and have you laughing at the same time.  She loved having visitors and always welcomed good company, especially when her grandkids stayed with her while their parents were at work.  One of her favorite pastimes was hunting for bargains at rummage sales and thrift stores, and she was always excited to give her finds to her grandkids at Christmas.  She truly loved and spoiled them.      

      She is survived by her daughter-in-law: Glenda Wille (Alan) Huff of Clay City; sister-in-law: Lois B. Wille (Jay) Roberts of Topeka, Kansas; grandchildren: Chucky (Amber) Wille, Buddy Wille, and Melissa (Derek) Hagen; great-grandchildren: Elizabetha Neoga Hagen, Clara Belle Hagen, Ava Grace Wille, Leeam Mitchel Wille, Owen Andrew Wille, and Logan Austin Wille; and several nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband: Alvin Wille; son: Victor Lee Wille; brother: Jack McDowell; and 4 sisters: Juanita, Nancy, Mary, and Grace.

      Private services will be held at a later date.  Interment will take place in Clay City Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
