Kelly Lane Martin, age 46, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
She was born February 7, 1979, in Roosevelt, Utah, the daughter of the late Gary Lane and Harriet M. (Bauser) Scott. Kelly and Leroy Martin were married on August 6, 2016, in Flora, and their time together was full of affection, genuine friendship, and a life’s worth of laughter and memories.
Kelly adored her family and loved spending time outdoors and camping. She found great joy in traveling, especially to wherever there was warm sunshine and a sandy beach. She was an Operations Office Technician at Sherwin-Williams in Flora, where she had been employed for 8 years. In the past, she had worked as a bartender, including at the Flora VFW, where she was a member of the Auxiliary.
Kelly is survived by her husband: Leroy Martin of Flora; her 4 children: Logan (Cameron) Stone of Flora, Megan Stone (Jacob) of Louisville, Natasha Stone (Mitchell) of Flora, and Dalton Zimmerman (Cassidy) of Flora; her mother-in-law: Janet Bricker of Flora; 3 sisters-in-law: Angie (Tom) Tolliver of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Kelly (Roy) Conard of Louisville, and Kris (Kory) Snell of Flora; a sister: Mary Jo Budack of Indiana; and a brother: Carl Budack of Alabama. She also leaves many friends.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; her father-in-law: Roy D. Bricker; a sister: Lisa Budack; and a niece: Harley.
A visitation will be held from 5 until 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. The evening will close with a prayer and moment of remembrance. I was Kelly’s after school babysitter when she went to North Clay. Lots of laughs were made and her favorite thing was for me to fix her hair. It didn’t matter if it was curls with curling iron or French braids she always smiled when I was finished. Lots of love and prayers for her family and friends.
