Kathy Stanley Gadway
64 years old
Kathy was born January 9, 1961, in Flora, IL. She passed away at her home in Danbury, CN on February 14, 2025 attended by family and friends.
She was the daughter of Larry and Betty Stanley and sister to Troy (Susie) Stanley. She was the loving aunt to Troy’s sons, Josh (Luxie) and Larry Jay. She found great joy in Josh’s growing family with the addition of Michael and Elijah.
She was a graduate of Flora High School and OCC. Kathy enjoyed a life of interesting and fulfilling careers which would introduce her to many special people. One such employer was movie producer Robert Halmi, Sr. She worked for the Halmi’s and lived on their estate where she would treat many cousins and friends with special visits to New York.
Later, she would meet her longtime partner, Tom, whom she would help with his landscaping business. She then began helping with a catering business and these ladies would become her “band of sisters”. They would see her through her struggle battling cancer. Kathy fought a long hard battle, knowing the treatments were experimental and would probably help others in the future. She never lost her sense of humor or her faith. She was given aid by her close childhood friend, nurse Lisa Lane, Troy and Susie and her friends.
She is survived by her mother Betty Stanley, brother Troy (Susie) Stanley Nephews Josh (Luxie) Stanley and Larry Jay
