Oliver Clark Slater was born into the arms of angels on Thursday, March 30, 2023, at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mt. Vernon.
He is survived by his parents: Kirsten and Thomas Slater of Xenia; maternal grandmother: Ginger Bennett of Flora; maternal grandfather: Troy Workman of Effingham; maternal great-grandmother: Sue Bennett of Xenia; an uncle: Jacob (Brandie) Bennett of DeSoto; an aunt: Autumn (Ernie) Baugh of North Carolina; paternal grandmother: Deanna Robertson of Cisne; paternal grandfather: Wayland Slater of Louisiana; paternal great-grandmother: Deanna Robertson of Fairfield; and several great aunts, great uncles, and cousins.

What can be said?? God had other plans for Oliver this Easter. Just know he's in the best hands. Granny Sue is smiling and rocking, just like she did you. He was loved by so many. This is a heart breaking moment. I love you Kirsten and Thomas.
