Dorothy Jo Puckett, age 87, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Sunday evening, October 18, 2026, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

      She was born October 22, 1938, in Flora, the daughter of Chauncey and Margaret Jo (Pigg) Daubs.

      Dorothy worked as a nurse at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney for over 20 years.  A talented seamstress, she also operated a costume shop out of her home. She enjoyed dancing, card games, and board games and was an excellent dart player. She liked spending time outdoors, especially canoeing and bass fishing.  She was a lifetime member of the Flora VFW.

      She is survived by her daughter: Deb Hatchett (Walter Lallis) of Flora; a granddaughter: Crystal Gonterman of West Salem; great-grandchildren: Kristliee Gonterman of West Salem and Alexis Brand of Ohio; a sister: Janie Harrison of Lockport; sister-in-law: Jackie Dishman of Newburgh, Indiana; and cousins: Ada and JoAnn.

      She was preceded in passing by her parents; a grandson: Christopher Sanders; and a granddaughter: Ashley McInnis.
