James Arthur Eller, age 68, of Louisville, Illinois, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 15, 2026, at his home with his daughters surrounding him with love.

      He was born September 2, 1957, in Hillsboro, the son of John Arthur and Verna LaVaughn (Cole) Eller.  He was united in marriage to Patricia Lois “Patty” Sisk on March 9, 1994, in Nokomis, and together they shared 29 wedding anniversaries until her passing on May 31, 2023.

      Jim worked for many years as a shipping and receiving team lead at Roadmaster.  He remained with the company after it became a distribution center for Pacific Cycle.  Later, he moved to Arthur to be closer to his grandchildren, and during that time, he worked at CHI Overhead Doors.  He eventually moved to Louisville to care for his beloved wife, Patty.  Jim was a devoted St. Louis Cardinals fan who enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, and the camaraderie of many area bowling and pool leagues.  He was also a proud member of Olney Eagles Lodge #2549.  More than anything, Jim treasured time with his grandchildren and took great joy in spoiling them every chance he had.

      He is survived by his daughters: Julie Keller (Jakoby Hatten) of Arthur, Alisha (Robert) Wilson of Flora, and Schara Eller of Hillsboro; 9 grandchildren: Marshall, Braxton, Brooklyn, Keigan, Kylee, Korben, Xane, Xander, and Eliana; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Josh Payne and Jeremiah McElwee.

      He is preceded in passing by his wife; parents; brother: Thomas Eller; sister: Julie Huber; and a granddaughter: Kassidy Keller.

      A funeral ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Chuck Buchanan officiating.  A visitation will be held from 1 until 3 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
