Ronald Wayne Guinn, age 56, of Flora, Illinois, passed away early Saturday morning, April 11, 2026, at his home.
He was born December 12, 1969, in Flora, the son of Francis Eugene and Beulah Althea “Dude” (Young) Guinn. He was united in marriage to Sherry Marie Cook on June 11, 2021.
Ron was a graduate of Flora High School. He had worked at North American Lighting in Flora and was a member of the Flora Coon Club. Ron enjoyed camping, deer and coon hunting, fishing for catfish, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife: Sherry (Cook) Guinn of Flora; children: David (Roxi) Guinn and Nancy Guinn; step-children: Rebecca (Cody) Carter and Laine (Aaliyah) Cook; 3 grandchildren: Autumn Phillips, Brooklyn Phillips, and Corbin Guinn; 3 step-grandchildren: Chase Carter, Lukas Cook, and Jamison Carter; siblings: Louise Eckelberry, Rita (Bert) Cosner, Jerry Guinn, Roger Guinn, Rose Anderson, Ann Stanford, and John (Shelly) Guinn; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Phoebe.
He was preceded in passing by his parents; siblings: Mae Lewis, Gary Guinn, and Larry “Mike” Guinn; a niece: Kayla Guinn; and brothers-in-law: Joe Eckelberry, Jack Stanford, Bob Taylor, and Bob Lewis.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Cancer Crusaders, and these will be accepted through the funeral home. To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com

Such a wonderful man. I met him at Hogrock with his wife Sherry that I used to go to school with. Both fabulous people! Gone too soon that's for sure.
