Michael Curtis Davis, age 64, of Olney, Illinois, and formerly of Mattoon, passed away Friday afternoon, May 2, 2025, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

      He was born June 9, 1960, in Phoenix, Arizona, the son of William and Nevah Pearl (Lindsey) Davis.

      Mike spent much of his life working as a roofing contractor.  He liked relaxing with video games and spending time outdoors fishing.  He was a talented guitar player and loved classic rock.

      He is survived by 2 daughters: Kayla (Michael) Mayberry of Flora and Nichole Davis of Champaign; son: Jonathan (Kourtni) Davis of Jasonville, Indiana; 6 grandchildren: Ivyana, Riley, Aliya, Emma, Guinevere, and Connor; 2 sisters: Melody Oye of Arthur and Tamara Sommers of California; brother: Mark Davis of Champaign; and lifelong friend: Brian Gream.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Philip Davis; and cousin: Gary Enyart.
