Sign tribute book for Former First Lady Nancy Reagan and country singer Joey Feek

     Frank & Bright Funeral Home is making tribute books available for area residents who wish to send their sympathy and compassionate thoughts to the families of Former First Lady Nancy Reagan who passed away Sunday at the age of 94, as well as country music singer Joey Feek, who passed away on Friday.  She was 40.

     “Everyone who experiences loss has a different perspective,” says Ryan Muskopf, of Frank & Bright.  “Although most of us have never had the opportunity meet Nancy Reagan or Joey Feek, there is a genuine feeling of care and concern that many people are experiencing and want to find a way to express.”

     These were both remarkable women in different ways.  Nancy Reagan is remembered as a graceful first lady, who was fiercely supportive of former President Ronald Reagan, and championed causes such as bringing drug abuse awareness into school classrooms and Alzheimer’s research.  Joey Feek was half of husband and wife country duo Joey + Rory, whose end-of-life story captured the hearts of many during her brave battle with cancer.

     Each tribute book will allow those from the Clay County area who wish to write a note or simply sign their name in support to become part of a combined tribute presented to each family.  Nancy Reagan’s book will be sent to the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, where her interment will take place next to her husband, Former President Ronald Reagan.  Joey Feek’s book, along with a special engraved plaque will be sent to her husband Rory, at their Pottsville, Tennessee farm, where she will be laid to rest in their family cemetery.
