David Ralph Nitsche of Effingham, Illinois, passed away Friday morning, March 8, 2019, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana. He was 56.
He was born November 28, 1962, in New Jersey, the son of the late Ralph and Geraldine (Tschopp) Nitsche. On May 31, 2014, Dave married Amanda Huey.
Dave traveled across the U.S. working in printing management and consulting. After purchasing a camera in 2002, he was drawn to the area of conceptual photography and creating pictures of inanimate objects that stir human emotion. His distinctive images have been published throughout online media and well over 100 magazines worldwide, and his work and creative discussion has likely encouraged others to develop their talents. Dave also embraced a lasting love of music, and after first picking up a guitar at age 12, he played throughout his life and with a number of bands.
He is survived by his wife: Amanda Nitsche; 3 stepchildren: Christian Gwyn, and Gracie and Ivy Hibbetts; as well as many good friends.
A Ceremony in Celebration of Dave’s Life will begin at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2019, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Friends are invited to a memorial visitation gathering prior to the ceremony from 2 until 4 p.m. on Saturday. Memorials are suggested to a fund to assist with expenses, and will be accepted by the funeral home. View the online guestbook at: www.frankandbright.com
