Marilyn J. Mylius, age 85, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017, at her home.
Marilyn was born April 10, 1931, the daughter of Leslie and Lois (Bradford) Wells. She was united in marriage to Louis Arthur Mylius on June 5, 1960, in Flora. He preceded her in death March 31, 1964.
Marilyn had worked as an office assistant for several insurance businesses in Flora. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Flora.
She is survived by nephews and nieces: Roger (Debbie) Wells of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Randy Wells of Flora, Kent (Susan) Wells of Westminster, Colorado, Stephanie Von Almen of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Stacy Wells of Chicago; as well as great and great-great nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother and his wife: Roger and Lenore Wells.
Private family services for Marilyn Mylius will be held. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to First United Methodist Church or Clay County Community Health Foundation, and these will be accepted through the funeral home. Marilyn was always so sweet and friendly, as all the Wells' family members are. We are so sorry for your loss. We know your family will greatly miss her. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Heaven has indeed welcomed another angel.

She was one of my favorite customers at CVS. Always so sweet, and kind. My heart is so heavy right now..... and Randy Wells, she spoke so highly of you. I often asked how you were and always made sure you were taking good care of her . It became a joke when she came in. She definitely thought the world of you.

Many, many years ago, Marilyn "loaded up" with my family and went to Florida for a ten day vacation. She was such a sweet person and the life of the party. The Leslie, Roger, and Marilyn Wells family have always been a warm spot in my memories, even though we have traveled through life on different roads. My condolences to the surviving Wells family members. We have lost another good person to God's loving care.
So sorry to hear of Marilyns passing. Her favorite seat in her pew will seem so empty without her. Loved that lady.
