Norbert E. Ritz, age 81, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away on Friday, May 29, 2015, at Good Samaritan Regional Health Center in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.

   Norbert was born January 29, 1934 in Olney, Illinois, to Edwin and Bertha (Hartrich) Ritz.  He worked for the City of Olney and was a U.S. Navy veteran.  Norbert married Gladys Sue Vanoy on April 5, 2010, but they had been together since 1971.

   He is survived by his wife: Sue Ritz of Clay City; a son: Martino Ritz of The Villages, Florida; a step-son, who he raised as a son: Joseph Allen Kilmer; 2 brothers: Allen (Betty) Ritz of Barrington and Robert (Teresa) Ritz of Charleston; and 2 sisters-in-law: Mary Elizabeth Farrar and Frances Goodwin.

   There will be no services. Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora is assisting the family with arrangements.
