Thelma Louise “Sis” (Sharp) Fry, age 88, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, in Wooster, Ohio.  Born June 19, 1937, in Clay City, Illinois.  Thelma lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, nature, and community.

Thelma was the beloved wife of the late Andrew “Dale” Fry.  Together they built a life centered around love and dedication to their family.  She was a devoted daughter to her parents Roy and Wilma Sharp and daughter-in-law to Charlie and Katie Fry.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Roy Dale Fry; Rodger Fry and his partner David Aragon; Linda Fry and her partner Lyndon Treece; and Pamela Fry.  Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Carla Kaiser (Ken McCune), Shawn Snyder (Ben), Charles Abernathy (Jennie Hamric), Sutton Abernathy (Amanda), Ryan Sigler (Hanna), Travis Sigler, Nathaniel Butler, Angela Segura (Justin), and Allison Thomas (James).  Thelma was also blessed with nineteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren who brought her immense joy.

Thelma’s siblings held a special place in her heart.  She is survived by Sally Ellis, Phyllis Muse, Susie Snyder (Steve), James Sharp, Jackie Sharp, Debra Nix (Don), and brother-in-law Frank Winters.  She also cherished the bonds she shared with many nieces and nephews across generations.

She was preceded in death by her siblings Bill Sharp (Phyllis), Robert Sharp (Dorothy), Eugene Sharp (Evelyn), Dorothy Browning (Aubrey), Kenneth Sharp, and Thomas Sharp.  Also preceding her were brothers-in-law Junior Ellis, Gary Muse, Thomas Fry (Gertrude), Herschel Fry (Minnie), Roy Fry, James "Bill" Fry (Linda); and sisters-in-law Mable Fry, Joyce "Sue" Winters, Ruby "Jean" Murray, and Dorothy Smith.

Thelma had a deep love for the outdoors.  Her passion for gardening was evident in the vibrant flowers and vegetables she nurtured with care each season.  She found peace among her plants and joy in sharing their beauty with others.  Mushroom hunting and fishing were other favorite pastimes that connected her to nature’s quiet rhythms.  Bowling brought out her spirited side—she enjoyed the camaraderie it offered as much as the game itself.

Family gatherings were at the heart of Thelma’s life.  Whether hosting or attending, she treasured these moments of connection with those she loved most.  Known for being a caring daughter, wife, mother, aunt—and so much more, Thelma's warmth touched everyone who knew her.

A funeral ceremony for Thelma will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Pastor Mark Smith officiating.  Interment will follow in Clay City Cemetery.  A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Friday evening at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Hospice, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
