Constance Joan Brown, age 83, of Fort Worth, Texas, and formerly of Flora, Illinois, passed away on June 22, 2025, at her home.

      She was born October 26, 1941, in Flora, the daughter of Bill and Elaine (Johnson) Brown.

      Connie worked for the United States government as a Liaison for several embassies.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Flora and enjoyed following the stock market and watching tennis on television.  

      She is survived by her brother: David (Bonnie Klein) Brown of Keller, Texas; 2 sisters: Sandra (Mart) Haycock of Flora and Nancy (Mike) Taylor of Grayville; and several nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother: Archie (Leah) Brown; maternal grandparents: Frankie and Dick Johnson; and paternal grandparents: Bertha and J.H. Brown.

      A funeral ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 7, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Bill Atwood officiating.  Interment will take place at a later date in Floral Garden of Memories Cemetery, Flora.  Memorial donations are suggested to Clay County Cancer Crusaders, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
