Margo Aletha (Perrine) Keller, age 80, of Iuka, Illinois, passed away early Thursday morning, April 24, 2025, at Salem Township Hospital.
She was born, January 29, 1945, in Flora, the daughter of William T. and Mildred (Gilman) Perrine.
Margo earned a master’s degree in art from SIU Carbondale followed by a master’s plus degree in elementary education from Eastern Illinois University. She taught art at Flora Elementary School for 15 years and second grade for 18 years. She was a 50-year member of Kappa Delta Sorority.
Survivors include a daughter, Kim Keller of Iuka; a daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Mike Payne of Edwardsville; 2 sisters, Carole Perrine and Dianne Perrine, both of Flora; a brother, Larry Perrine of Flora; grandchildren, Katie Payne of Granite City and Matthew Payne and Mason Payne, both of Edwardsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Homer Leslie, Clyde, and Mike Perrine; and a sister: Sally.
A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Private committal will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com

Margo stood up with me at my first wedding. A very sweet lady. I've lost track of her these last years. Prayers of comfort for all the family and friends.
Condolences to her family and friends. We were friends in high school and first roommates at SIU. She was a wonderful person. She will be missed.
