Eric Dewayne Enlow, age 60, of Cisne, Illinois, passed away at his home.

He was born October 31, 1964, in East St. Louis, the son of Richard Ray and Doris Jean (Ward) Enlow.

Eric had worked as a box truck driver for Frito-Lay Inc. in Teutopolis making deliveries to stores.  Later he worked for North American Lighting, and most recently had been a transportation driver for a construction crew.  Eric was an avid outdoorsman and was always coming up with new hobbies to enjoy.  He could often be found spending time fishing, hunting for mushrooms and arrowheads, camping, or metal detecting.  He was an avid John Wayne fan and enjoyed playing poker, collecting coins, and cooking.

He is survived by his 4 children: Bryan Enlow of Xenia, Tiffanie Enlow of Sailor Springs, Nick Enlow of Hord, and Bailey Enlow of Brownstown; grandchildren: Kenzi Enlow of Sailor Springs, Brody Williams of Ingraham, Ella Enlow of Sailor Springs, Noah Enlow of Brownstown, and Landen Hanley of Brownstown; brothers: Randy (Ruth Ann) Enlow of Clay City and Jeff (Marcia) Enlow of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother: Richard “Rich” E. Enlow; and an aunt: Louise (Gordon) Nowland.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Private interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.  A visitation will be held from 4-6 p.m. on Wednesday evening at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com

Truly sorry for such a loss to your family. I’ve been friends for Eric for close to 30 years and what an awesome guy and great friend. I could tell so many stories of some great times we had and I’m telling you, everyone of them was an absolute blast. He was such a fun person to be around. I will miss him very much. Till we meet again, my friend!❤️

So sorry for your loss. He was a wonderful man, I met him at Flora Cancer Center. He would sit in a chair by me. And he would start talking away. I loved hearing his stories and I loved talking to him. When he was tired he’d fall asleep while we was talking. May God Bless each and everyone of you. Many prayers for you all.
