He was born on November 14, 1964, in Fairfield, Illinois, the son of Curtis E. and Fran (Hale) Howe.

Wayne graduated from Flora High School in Illinois in 1982 and worked on the family farm until enlisting in the United States Air Force in 1984, serving until 1992.  He was later employed by Service Air at various airports in Arizona and Florida.

Wayne enlisted in the Air Force Reserves in 2003.  As part of his service in 2004, he became an Air Reserve Technician (ART) at Westover Air Reserve Base, Chicopee, Massachusetts, and retired from Whiteman Air Force Base, Knob Noster, Missouri, in 2021.

He is survived by his wife, Pamela Skye Howe of Lee’s Summit; parents, Curt and Sherry Howe of Rinard, Illinois; three sons, John (Brittany) Howe of Mansfield, Missouri, Curtis (Abra) Howe of Flora, and Jake (Christine) Howe of Chino Valley, Arizona; a daughter, Jenna (Michael) Parrish of Bay City, Michigan; grandchildren, Eli, Josh, and Andrew from Mansfield, Layla, Ayvah, Ellie, Norah and Wren from Flora, Sausha and Livia from Bay City, Samuel and JJ from Chino Valley; and a grandchild on the way; two brothers, Rob (Teresa) Boose of Flora and Tim (Devon) Boose of Rinard; two sisters, Crystal (Tony) Luttrell from Xenia, Illinois, and Tammy (John) Howe from Rinard; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fran, as well as maternal grandparents, Johnny and Zelma Hale of Fairfield, and paternal grandparents, Bernice and Ruth Howe of Rinard.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Sunday January 15, 2023, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  A procession to Elmwood Cemetery with the presentation of military funeral honors will follow.  A memorial visitation will be held from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to the local chapter of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or Wounded Warrior Project and will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit:
