Daniel E. Tolliver, age 61, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away Friday morning, December 16, 2022, at his home.
Danny was born September 4, 1961, in Olney, the son of William E. and Alice L. (Jackson) Tolliver.
Fishing was Danny’s all-time favorite way to spend time outdoors over the years. He even created his own fishing flies. He performed mechanic work on lawnmowers and ATVs, and enjoyed putting out his vegetable garden every spring.
He is survived by his 3 children: Tiffany Carlyle (Dennis Morgan Jr.) of Flora, Shawn Tolliver and Scott Tolliver, both of Xenia; grandchildren: Steven (Cathy), Jared, Nicholas, Braxton, Alexander, Clayton, Landon, Malachi, Dominick, Piper, Ezmae, Loralei, and Zepplin; his father: Bill Tolliver of Flora; 2 sisters: Tina M. Coleman of Shelbyville and Deborah A. Tolliver of Flora; former wife: Schiela Wilson; former daughter-in-law: Jessie Tolliver; as well as aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother: Alice Tolliver; a sister: Tanya Tolliver; as well as his grandparents and aunts and uncles.
A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Tuesday evening, December 20, 2022, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. A graveside committal ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 21, at Oak Mound Cemetery, Xenia. Those attending the graveside ceremony are invited to arrive directly at the cemetery. Danny was a great guy, i've known him since i was a kid, grew up with his daughter Tiffany and later worked with him at the mailing center. Tiffany, i am so sorry you and the rest of the family are in my prayers! Your dad will be missed greatly by those who knew him
