Funeral Ceremony: 12 noon Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora
Interment: Elmwood Cemetery
Visitation: 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Thursday at the funeral home
Terry J. Given, age 57, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at his home.
He was born September 15, 1963, in Clay County, Illinois, the son of Patrick J. and Shirley Ann (Kauble) Given.
Terry will be remembered for his friendly spirit and always spending time to visit with others, especially those involved in the Flora tennis community. He spent many hours at the Frog Island Tennis Courts, and also enjoyed watching his nieces play tennis. He was a fan of fishing, movies, hard rock music, and wrestling. In the past he had worked at Western Auto, the movie theater, and mowed yards.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 12 noon Thursday, September 24, 2020, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 12 noon on Thursday. Memorial donations are suggested to the Frog Island Tennis Club and will be accepted through the funeral home. I’m so sorry that you are gone. You lit up a lot of people’s lives in Flora. Sorry we hadn’t kept in touch very often. You are singing with the Angels, your mom and dad, grandma and grandpa. Love you.
Nancy and I met Terry and Jerry when they lived by the Sudzy Dudzy Laundromat as young kids. He was a kind soul. May you rest in peace Terry Jo!!!!
