Austin Dale Woods, age 29, of Clay County, Illinois, passed away Saturday, August 15, 2020.
He was born April 25, 1991, in Flora to Shawn R. Woods and Anna Marie (Nichols).
Austin enjoyed and appreciated music, had an interest in working on cars, and basically just liked to hang out and have good time. He was especially elated with the recent birth of his baby daughter. The relationship he had with his grandfathers and how he looked up to them is a special memory for his family.
Austin’s family includes his father: Shawn Woods (Francisco Vargas) of St. Louis; mother: Anna (Tony) Mattoon of Olney; wife: Amanda L. (Springer) Woods of Clay City; paternal grandparents: Ron & Susie Woods of Xenia; maternal grandparents: Gene & Pam Nichols of Flora and Shirley Minor of Olney; children: Destiny Loretta Woods, Malerie Johnson, and Mason Harker; 1 sister and 4 brothers: Autume Canady of Olney, Sebastian (Emily) Mayberry of Flora, Trenton Weaver of Clay City, James Weaver of Olney, and Clinton Weaver (Karah Mayberry) of Flora; “adopted family”: Kenneth Weaver of Flora and Brittany Fulk (Jacob McGuire) of Flora; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Austin, I will miss u and your way of always being up front no beating around the bush I will miss how your were a smart ass all the time but what will be missed about u the most is the joy u brought back into Amber and her kids after they lost Danny ( Amber's husband, her kids stepdad) last year. U were differen, u had your own drum beat but that is what was so great about u. U were one of a kind that is for sure . And my grandbaby Jayce sure loved u.
