Myra G. (Richey) Lincoln, age 78, of Clovis, New Mexico, passed away on the morning of November 12, 2025.

She was born August 15, 1947, in Effingham, Illinois, to Jacob Donald and Mildred Mae (Mattoon) Richey.

In 1975, Myra was hired as a secretary to the Staff Judge Advocate General at Chanute Air Force base in Illinois. She held that job for some time before moving over to the Missile Training Group as a secretary. After a short break she returned to work in the 3345th Finance and Accounting Squadron, until 1990 when she took a leave without pay to be home with her parents while her husband was stationed at Osan AB South Korea.  After his return they moved to Bergstrom AFB in Austin, Texas, where she worked as an accounting Technician in the Accounting section and Secretary for the Comptroller at Bergstrom AFB Texas. Then, after moving to Cannon AFB, she resumed work in Accounting and Finance, serving on tiger teams for the consolidation of accounting sections. She then worked in the Financial Management Section of the 27th Civil Engineer Squadron until she took an assignment with the 18th Fighter Wing at Kadena AB, Okinawa, where she was the Financial Manager for the 18th Civil Engineer Squadron. Upon returning to the United States, she came back to the 27th Civil Engineer Squadron as the Assistant Financial Manager, remaining there until her retirement in 2009.

Myra’s greatest pleasures and abilities were playing the piano and organ. She started playing at age eleven, and by age twelve she was the organist and pianist for her church. She played both instruments in many base chapels and churches throughout her travels.

She is survived by William Lincoln, her husband of 39 years; son, Jay (Christine) Creek of Champaign, IL; daughter, Annissa (Creek) Kief of Beech Grove, IN; grandchildren, Dustin Kief, Allison (Reiling) Stanley, Evan Reiling; and great-grandchild, Waylon Kief.

She was preceded in passing by her parents; daughter, Amy Sue Creek; and brother, Jay (Pam) Richey.

A graveside ceremony will be held at Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, Illinois, beginning at 12 noon on Saturday, December 6, 2025.  A funeral service was held Friday, November 21, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clovis, New Mexico.  Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora assisted with local arrangements.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
