Nicole Adams

Feb 5th, 1976 - Sep 30th, 2025

Nicole Annette Adams, age 49, of Flora, Illinois, passed from this life on Tuesday night, September 30, 2025, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh, Indiana.

She was born February 5, 1976, at Clay County Hospital in Flora, the daughter of Thomas James and Judy Kay (Lambrich) Adams.  Nicole was preceded in passing by her loving father.

Nicole was at home at the Park Place CILA residence, where she was a shining light to everyone who cared for her.  A devoted staff member, Mary Stanford—who became like a second mom—watched over Nicole with patient love and kindness.  After Mary’s own passing, Nicole’s family and Park Place friends took comfort in knowing that she was Nicole’s guardian angel.  Mary may have even taken Nicole by the hand as she rose to her new feet on Tuesday night.

All through her life, Nicole responded with smiling and gentle wonder to all types of music, often wanting to bring the sound closer to her.  Though limited in speech, her family imagines the beautiful voice and spirit that has lived within her throughout her life.  Now restored, and filled with a peace that surpasses all understanding, Nicole sings and dances, and kneels before the King.

She is survived by her mother, Judy Adams of Flora; two sisters, Julie Adams, and Candy Jennings and husband Barry, both of Flora; three nieces and one nephew, Charity Adams, Josiah Adams and wife Sarah Zink, Myranda Albers and husband Tayler, and Haylee Corry; and eight great-nieces and nephews, Rayne McAllister, Lydia Siegler, Liam Adams, Lizabeth Adams, Ronin Adams, Matthew Corry, Ryan Albers, and Rory Albers.

A funeral ceremony celebrating Nicole’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Monday, October 6, 2025, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Visitation will be from 4 until 6 p.m. Monday. A brief committal prayer and interment will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 7, at Elmwood Cemetery.  Memorial donations in lieu of flowers or gifts are suggested towards final expenses or Xenia Community Church, and these will be accepted by the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
