Troy Lynn Mayberry, age 49, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 29, 2020, at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana.

Troy had worked at Flora Lumber Yard, Southwire, and most recently at North American Lighting in Flora.  He was a former President of the Flora Eagles.  Troy was very handy and could fix mostly anything, especially when it came to remodeling homes or working on derby and race cars.  He enjoyed being outdoors, bow hunting, going to the races, and was a die-hard St. Louis Cardinal and Dallas Cowboys fan.  Family was very important to Troy and he was looking forward to meeting his soon-to-come first grandchild.  He cherished time spent with his children, attending as many of their sporting activities as he could.

He is survived by his wife: Niccole Mayberry of Flora; children: Michael (Kayla Davis), Rusty, Tiarra (Brett Whitney), Trista, Tyra, Trey, and Terryk, all of Flora; a grandson on the way, Connor; siblings: Anthony “Tony” Mayberry of Flora, Greg Mayberry of Flora, Rodney (Freida) Mayberry of Metropolis, and Annette Mayberry of Dundas; mother and father-in-law’s: Tina and Jeff Scoles of Flora, and Devin and Vivian Poff of Texas; brother-in-law’s: Joshua (Ashlee) Poff of Flora and Zach (Heather) Scoles of Flora; sister-in-law: Tracy (Ronnie) Williams; and many nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law: Brian and Carolyn Sharp; and a nephew: Zachary Evans.

A funeral ceremony will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, December 3, 2020, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Interment will follow in Bunker Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses and will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a memory or condolence visit: www.frankandbright.com
