Bud Clark

   Francis Gale “Bud” Clark, age 94, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday morning, April 19, 2017, at the Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.

   Bud was born February 19, 1923, in East St. Louis, Illinois, the son of Orval “Jack” and Viola (Scott) Clark.  He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps during World War ll and Korea.  Bud was a member of U.A.W. and had worked for A.M.F. and Airtex, from where he retired.  He loved and was proud of his grandchildren, and enjoyed motorcycling and model trains.

   Bud is survived by his children: Karrie (Jeff) Young of Cape Coral, FL, Connie (Gerry) Clements of Johnsonville, Toni (Gilbert) Lee of Bluford, Sharon Lewis (James Coulston) of Dyersberg, TN, Michael (Rachael) Clark of Flora, and Becky (Mat) Byers of Flora; 19 grandchildren: Shawn, Nathan and Vanessa Young; Tanya Clements; Rachel and Eric Porter; Samantha Clark; Melanie, Ricky and Gabriel Lee; Dustin, Stephanie, Kyle, and Tiffany Lewis; Tyler and Damian Clark; Jessica, Preston, Whittney, and Tyler Byers; 6 great-grandchildren: Alex Clements, Kaleya Porter, Kylar Porter, Alexia Casolari, Eric Clements, and Ryver Porter; a sister: Dorothy Ruger; and a brother: Berval Clark.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; a son: Daniel; 4 brothers: Jack, Don, Jerry, and Robert Clark; 2 grandsons: Scott Clements and Thomas Clark; and 1 granddaughter: Heather Young.

   A Celebration of Life service for Bud Clark will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home and will continue at Elmwood Cemetery, where military honors will be presented and interment will follow.  A visitation will be held Sunday from 2-3 p.m. at the funeral home.  Memorial donations may be given to the family to assist with expenses.
