Dustin Hogan

   Dustin R. Hogan, age 35, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2015.

 

   Dustin was born at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois on Wednesday, October 31, 1979, at 8:21 p.m. to Kenneth R. and Deborah L. (Murbarger) Hogan.  He married Andrea Dulaney on August 14, 1999, in Clarksville, TN. 

 

   Dustin was a 1998 graduate of North Clay High School where he avidly played baseball and basketball.  Pursuing his dream, Dustin joined the U.S. Army immediately after high school and was selected for membership in the highly-trained Night Stalkers Special Operations Command from 2003-2007.  An outdoorsman since a young age, his interests throughout life included 4-wheeling, horseback riding, boating and scuba diving.  Dustin was once the recipient of Clay City Bass Club’s Rookie Award.  Some of his favorite times were spent taking Mariah hunting and fishing.  Dustin had a passion for life and seeking opportunities for adventure, but his family held the most special place in his heart.

 

   He is survived by his daughter: Mariah Hogan; father: Kenneth R. Hogan of Salem; mother: Debbie Hogan of Iuka; brother: Cody (Heather) Hogan of Milwaukee, WI; maternal grandmother: Retha (the late Eath) Murbarger of Clay City; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Tony and Cathy Dulaney; aunts and uncles: Dennis Murbarger, Donna (Ken) Kessler, Ray (Dorris) Rutland, Anna Kay Thompson, Pearlavon (Frankie) Wilkins; a number of cousins and other special people.  He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Ernest James Hogan and Ernest James and Edna Jane Mounts, and maternal grandfather: Eath Murbarger.

 

   A funeral service for Dustin Hogan will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Interment will follow in Clay City Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday, July 24, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home.  Memorial donations may be given for the benefit of Mariah and will be accepted at the funeral home.  Condolences may be shared online at www.frankandbright.com.
