Nov 22nd, 1980 - Mar 28th, 2015Amber Renee (Lee) Mahon, age 34, of Flora, Illinois, passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
Amber was born November 22, 1980 in Olney, to Craig Lee and Lee Anne (Thompson) Lee. She was kindhearted, which was demonstrated by her passion in caring for the elderly as a CNA. Amber was also an outdoor country girl at heart, participating in many outdoor activities from fishing and hunting to Demo Derby, 4-Wheel riding, and mudding. Most of all, she cherished the time spent with her girls.
She is survived by her mother: Lee Anne (Ken) Wilson of Flora; father: Craig Lee (Michelle Ewing) of Xenia; 2 daughters: Alycia and Ashlynn Mahon; 3 sisters: Brooke (Chris) Poling of Flora, Meagan (Mike) McIntosh of Centralia, and Heather Lee of Flora; an aunt: Nanci Thompson of Flora; an uncle: Matt Thompson of Champaign; along with 7 nieces and 4 nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother: Marianne (Judd) Davis, paternal grandparents: Ernest and Doloris Lee, and a sister: Melissa.
A funeral service for Amber Mahon will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2015, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Interment will be in St. Stephen’s Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be given to the fund that is being established for the benefit of Amber’s daughters education and will be accepted at the funeral home.
