Apr 25th, 1960 - Mar 27th, 2015

Pastor Mark H. Shell, age 54, of Wayne City, Illinois, passed away Friday, March 27, 2015, at his home in Wayne City.

Mark was born April 25, 1960, in Fairfield, the son of Jackie and Iris (Henry) Shell.  He married Kay Miller on June 22, 1979 at Keenes Community Chapel and together they’ve shared 35 years of marriage.

As a husband, father, and brother, Mark was a giving, loving, and supportive man, and lived the message he shared. With his spare time, he worked as a craftsman, finding enjoyment in woodworking projects and building furniture, and often playing pool and stumping others with uncommon trivia.

Mark is survived by his wife: Kay Shell of Wayne City; children: Joshua Shell and Candice Shell both of Chicago; grandmother: Dorothy Shell of Wayne City; siblings: Gregory (Rebecca) Shell of Wayne City, Kim (Roy) Braddock of Bluford, Natalie Whitlow of Keenes, and Justine (John) Durham of Keenes; along with several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandfather: Warren Shell, and maternal grandmother: Maxine Henry.

A funeral service for Pastor Mark Shell will be held 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 30, 2015, at Orchardville Church in Orchardville.  Interment will be in Thomason Cemetery, Wayne City.  Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at Orchardville Church in Orchardville.  The Shell family has requested that memorial donations be given to Orchardville Church.  Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora is in charge of arrangements.
