      Acasio Sanchez Barrera, age 82, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 29, 2026, at Axiom Healthcare of Flora.

      He was born March 23, 1944, in Temaxcalapa, Mexico, the son of Agustin and Adolfa Barrera Sanchez.

      He is survived by his children: Raul, Patricia, Emilia, Guadalupe, Juan Gabriel, Roberto, Fidel, and Agustin Sanchez; several grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

      He was preceded in passing by his parents.
