
Gloria Lavern McCollum, age 68, of Clay City, Illinois, passed away Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at Axiom Gardens Care Center in Flora.
She was born February 8, 1958, in Louisville, the daughter of Lowell and Genelle (Bonham) McCollum Jr.
Gloria was strong in her faith, often sharing her faith and leading many to Christ even as her health declined. She enjoyed time spent reading and watching television.
She is survived by her sister: Lillian Louise (John) Young of Vincennes, Indiana; half-sister: Brenda Gaines of Mt. Carmel; cousins: David (Vicki) Bonham of Flora, Gary (Amy) Bonham of Simms, Mary Farris of Detroit, Michigan, and Eddie Nosek; aunt: Geness Wilkinson of Kinmundy; special friends: Lydia (Carl “Bud”) Taylor of Clay City; and the daughter of her late companion: Amy (William) Humes of Olney and several other aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son: Teddy Joe; boyfriend and longtime companion: Frank Goff; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with David Bonham officiating. Interment will follow in Oskaloosa Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
