
Apryl Lynn Wallace, age 68, of Xenia, Illinois, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at Clay County Hospital.
She was born November 16, 1957, in Hazel Crest, the daughter of William Arthur and Irma Jean (Smith) Webster. She was united in marriage to Stephen Ray Craft, and he preceded her in passing on March 9, 2009. She later married Jay Michael Wallace on August 28, 2010, and together they shared 15 wonderful years of marriage filled with love and companionship.
Apryl earned her degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse in 1984, and was a member of the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeast Missouri. With a servant’s heart and a deeply caring nature, she dedicated over 40 years to nursing, working in various in-home roles, including hospice care, from 1984 to 2025. She enjoyed caring for her chickens and rabbits, spending time gardening, making soap and skincare products, and most importantly, spending time with her family. Above all, Apryl’s faith was a cornerstone of her life.
She is survived by her husband: Jay Wallace of Xenia; a son: Billy (Lizzy) Craft of Sikeston, Missouri; 2 daughters: Jennifer (Travis) Miller of Sikeston, Missouri and Stephanie (John) Thompson of Sedgewickville, Missouri; step-son: Justin Wallace of Xenia; grandchildren: Quintin Craft, Jordan Craft, Stephen Craft, William Craft, Lucas Nation, Hunter Sletten, Taylor Stanfield, Jaxon Stanfield, Jaydon Wallace, and Dakota Wallace; 1 great-grandson: Quin Michael Ray Craft; and siblings: Libby (Don) McNeil of Sterling and William (Rose) Webster of Inverness, Florida.
She was preceded in passing by her parents; a brother: Robert Webster; and 2 sisters: Renee Webster Garcia and Malinda Webster Hilgart.
