Carla Jean Colclasure, age 64, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Thursday, May 8, 2025, at her home.
She was born December 13, 1960, in Olney, the daughter of Carl Warren and Martha Ann (Shehorn) Hildebrand.
Carla dedicated 32 years of her life to working at HELLA Electronics in Flora. She was known for her sweet spirit and generous heart—always willing to help anyone in need. Carla cherished time spent with family and friends, especially when gathered around the table for board games or card nights. She loved nurturing flowers and plants, often inspiring others to share in her passion. She was a wonderful cook, with her legendary buffalo dip and peanut butter pie earning a place at every family gathering. Above all, Carla was a proud and loving mother and grandmother. She never missed a chance to share stories about her children and grandchildren, whom she adored beyond measure. Kind, devoted, and sincerely genuine, Carla touched many lives with her warmth and will be fondly remembered and deeply missed.
She is survived by a son: Shane (Brooks) Colclasure of Moline; a daughter: Samantha Colclasure of Flora; 5 grandchildren: Teagan, Peighton, Addysen, and Karla Rae Colclasure, all of Silvis, along with their mother, Vanessa Colclasure; and Kiera Waite of Decatur; a brother: James Hildebrand of Flora; an aunt: Cinda Hildebrand of Clay City; a cousin: Candra Hildebrand of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 2 nieces: Kiana Bullock and Violet Bullock, both of Mascoutah; and 4 nephews: J.C. Bullock and Darian Bullock, both of Mascoutah, and Justin Hildebrand and Jarrad Hildebrand, both of Flora.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers: Michael Hildebrand and Jeffrey W. Hildebrand; a sister: Julie Bullock; and a brother-in-law: James Bullock.
A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, June 1, 2025, at the Girl Scout Building in Charley Brown Park, Flora. Private interment will take place at a later date in Smith Cemetery. Arrangements are by Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to the family to assist with final expenses, and these will be accepted through the funeral home.
