Keith Bayles

        Larry Keith Bayles, age 67, of Evansville, Indiana, and formerly of Flora, Illinois, passed away Monday afternoon, January 2, 2023, at his home.

        He was born December 12, 1955, in Salem, Illinois, the son of Freddie L. and Wanda E. (Clark) Bayles.  He was united in marriage to Amy L. Phillips on March 3, 1978, at the Community of Christ Church in Flora and together they have shared 44 wedding anniversaries.   

        Keith had worked as a shipping supervisor for Sherwin-Williams in Flora, retiring after 35 years.  He enjoyed watching birds and wildlife, horse racing, playing washers, taking walks, and traveling, especially to the beach.  Keith was a true sports fanatic, enjoying time spent playing fantasy baseball and football and was an avid fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.  He was a member of Powers General Baptist Church.

        He is survived by his wife: Amy Bayles of Evansville, Indiana; children: Justus (Laura) Bayles of Paducah, Kentucky, Jeris (Jessica) Bayles of Boonville, Indiana, and Julee (T.J.) Noll of Evansville, Indiana; 8 grandchildren: Jayda, Jailyn, and Landon Bayles of Paducah, Kentucky, Emery and Abel Bayles of Boonville, Indiana, and Alexia, Axle, and Asher Noll of Evansville, Indiana; mother: Wanda Bayles of Xenia; a brother: Marvin (Vicki) Bayles of Mineral Wells, West Virginia; a sister: Pam (Gary) Sessions of Xenia; mother-in-law: Alice Phillips of Flora; several nieces and nephews; and his loving dog: Foo Foo.

        He was preceded in death by his father: Fred Bayles; a granddaughter: Monica Bayles; and father-in-law: Bill Phillips.

        A funeral ceremony will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Kyle Sessions and Brian Scarbrough officiating.  Interment will follow in Powers Cemetery, Xenia.  A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.  Memorial donations are suggested to Powers Cemetery and will be accepted through the funeral home.  To share a condolence or memory, visit: www.frankandbright.com
