Angie Dillman

Sep 5th, 1942 - Aug 14th, 2022

Angie Mae Dillman (Lanear), age 79, of Manteno, Illinois passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Baptist Health in Paducah, Kentucky.

She was born September 5, 1942, in McLeansboro, Illinois, the daughter of the late Carl Lanear and Wreatha Lanear (Luttrell).

Angie graduated from McLeansboro High School in 1960, and she then attended Barnes Hospital School of Nursing, graduating in 1963.  She then attended St. Francis School of Anesthesia, graduating in 1975.  Angie dedicated her life to serving and sacrificing for others.  She retired from St. Mary’s Hospital with over forty years of service.  During her career, she also took call overnight at South Suburban and St. Francis hospitals providing anesthesia to their labor and delivery units.  She made numerous friends and skillfully and lovingly cared for her patients, many requesting her by name for planned surgeries.

Angie was a dedicated member of the United Methodist Church in Manteno.  Her time was devoted to regular services, bible study, fund raisers, mission trips and supporting the expansion of the church.  She really enjoyed spending time with fellow church members.

She took very little, too little, time for herself, but when she did, she enjoyed visiting and traveling with old classmates and childhood friends.  She particularly enjoyed antiquing, and she did not miss a high school class reunion until this year.  She also enjoyed spending time with family in Flora, Illinois (Luttrell), taking every opportunity to participate in family events and reunions.

Angie is survived by her sons, Robert Dillman of Wisconsin, and David Dillman of Illinois.  She was preceded in death by her twin brothers, Larry in 1957 at age 12 and Jerry in 2003 at age 59.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.  Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Xenia.  Visitation will be 1 until 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Chaddock Children’s Foundation: https://www.chaddock.org/support/donate/
