Eloise Fatheree Kasik, age 93, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.
Eloise was born January 31, 1925, in Haines Township in Marion County, the daughter of Hyram Alstone and Hattie N. (Clemons) Weems. She married Freddie Fatheree on July 27, 1942, and he preceded her in death on September 25, 1970. She later married Charles Kasik, and he preceded her in death on September 18, 2010. Eloise worked 20 years at the shoe factory in Flora and 20 years at a Western Sizzlin’ in Florida. She enjoyed traveling.
Eloise is survived by her son: Charles Lee Fatheree (Pennie) of Xenia; three grandchildren: Dusty Fatheree (Patty) of Xenia, Kimberly Burroughs (Steve) of Iuka, and Rowdy Fatheree (Jodi) of Mt. Vernon; and five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands; and seven brothers and sisters.
A private family service will be held with burial in Powers Cemetery, Xenia. Arrangements are in the care of Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
