Carolyn is survived by one brother: William (husband of late sister-in-law Barbara) Dillman of Carmi; one sister-in-law: Callie (wife of late brother John T.) Dillman; 12 nieces and nephews: Judy Diane (husband Tim) Beadles, Dr. Stephen (wife Glenda) Dillman, Gealean (husband Skip) Irwin, Dr. John Craig (wife Lynn) Dillman, Thomas Allen (wife Brenda) Dillman, Emily Dillman, Haley Dillman, Marcia (husband Gary) Ridenour, Gary Wayne Dillman, Larry (wife Debbie) Douthit, Gina Douthit, and Kayla (husband Kevin) Steele; two step-nieces and one step-nephew: Brandi Douthit, Christina (husband Jack) Eisaman, and Mark Forth; three spouses of her late nieces and nephews including: Glen (husband of late niece Durlene) Schieman, Bobbie (wife of late nephew Jerry) Dillman, and Mary (wife of late nephew Danny) Douthit;  numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; as well as a special circle of close friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers: Durlen “Dale” (husband of late sister-in-law Betty) Dillman, and John T. Carolyn helped me be a better nurse. She was there to help patients with her skillful knowledge of physical therapy. I had never seen a "bed cradle" in my early nursing career. Carolyn brought one to my patient which made him much more comfortable. She was always willing to help make our patients more comfortable.

I worked with Carolyn for years at the old hospital. She gave the BEST tours to the school kids. She told them they had a tail and showed them on the skeleton, Mr. Bones. She would dip her hand multiple times in the wax and let the kids feel it and peel it off. She was never cross with their many questions. What an inspiration and a joy she was to me!
