Cecil Kenneth Burt, age 93, of Henderson, Kentucky, formerly of Flora, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at Golden Living Center-Brentwood in Evansville, Indiana.

   Kenneth was born July 11, 1922, in Flora, the son of Cecil F. and Pansy Marie (McCord) Burt.  He married Geneva A. Guinn on August 23, 1945.  She preceded him in death December 6, 2011.  Kenneth was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving his country during World War II. He then went to work for Ashland Oil Company for 37 years.  Upon retirement, he became an avid fisherman during the day and in the evenings, an expert at playing cards and dominoes.  Kenneth was a member of Bennett United Methodist Church in Henderson, KY. 

   He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Wayne and Kasey Burt of Henderson, KY; one sister: Wilma Rohde of San Diego, CA; along with 6 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, a son: Ronnie Burt, 1 brother, and 3 sisters.

   A graveside service for Kenneth Burt will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2016, at Elmwood Cemetery, Flora.  Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora.
