Sammy L. Senters, age 82, of Flora, Illinois, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016, at Flora Gardens Care Center in Flora.
Sammy was born May 30, 1934, in Flora, the son of Frederick Leon and Claris (Robinson) Senters. He married Jane Bridges on July 11, 1977, in Clinton. Sammy was a roofer and enjoyed mushroom hunting, fishing, blackberry picking, attending family reunions at the Wabash with his brothers and other family members, and was a fan of Harley Davidson.
He is survived by his wife: Jane Senters of Flora; son: Jason Senters of Flora; daughter: Annette Burkettt (Jason) of Flora; 2 grandsons: Dillon Leo Gordon and Logan Eugene Gordon; siblings: Reg Senters, Dave Senters (Sally), Pat Senters (Ann), Margie Senters, and Raliegh Senters; along with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and siblings: June, Joe, Gene, Fred, Jack, and Jess.
A funeral service for Sammy Senters will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Frank & Bright Funeral Home, Flora, with visitation from 1 p.m. until service time. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Memorial donations are suggested to assist the family with expenses and may be directed to Frank & Bright Funeral Home, 500 N. Main St., Flora, IL 62839.

I was in High School with Sammy and just wanted to express my condolences to the family.
