Lindsey Danielle West, age 30, of Flora, IL passed away at 3:30 AM on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at Kindred Hospital in Springfield, IL.

She was born December 5, 1982 in Flora, IL to James “Red Top” and Mary (Edmonds) West. Lindsey earned an Associate’s Degree in Information Processing and had worked at the Flora Public Library. She enjoyed reading mysteries, watching detective and reality shows, and liked spending time with her nephews. She was a lifetime member of the Flora VFW Post #3999.

Lindsey is survived by her parents: James “Red Top” and Mary West of Flora; a brother and sister-in-law: Rob and Jodi West of Flora; nephews: Brendan and Logan West of Flora; companion: Benjamin Siegler of Flora; aunts: Norma Quandt of Swansea, Ada Baker of Tennessee; uncles: David (Judy) West of Highland, Daniel Edmonds Jr. of Ozark; along with numerous cousins and her Yorkie “Bo”. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents (Daniel W. Sr. and Donna J. Edmonds), paternal grandparents (Menford and Fern West), a brother (Jeffrey Kingery), several aunts, uncles and cousins, and best friend Maegan Henson.

The funeral service for Lindsey West will be conducted at 10 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home in Flora with Dr. Donald Bunnell officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Flora. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Friday, March 8, at the Frank & Bright Funeral Home. The family has requested that memorial donations be made to the Lupus Foundation of America or the Flora Public Library and those donations will be accepted at the funeral home.
